MAY, a month of vocational celebration led by Maria

In Ecuador we have lived a time of vocational celebration due to the celebration of Promises and Renewal of Promises in the city of Cuenca; and for the numerous Renewal of Promises in the city of Guayaquil; celebrations accompanied by Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and Salesians of Don Bosco, who, with the spirit of the Salesian Family, maintain their closeness to our vocational spring of living with joy article 30 of the Statute of our PVA:
“With the Apostolic Promise the Salesian Cooperator responds to a vocation that lasts throughout life and that is expressed in daily life with testimony, apostolate and various forms of service. He is willing to serve the mission of the Church, living authentically the Salesian charism. He collaborates intensely in initiatives promoted by other ecclesial, religious and civil organizations. “His fidelity is sustained by the affection and solidarity of the members of the Association and the Salesian Family.”

And in line with the “Remember”, proposed worldwide, the Provincial Council encourages the project of collecting the Historical Memory of the Centers, a process that has allowed us to identify the exact date of May 24, 1963 as the beginning of the presence of the Salesian Cooperators in Ecuador, when the first “Maria Auxiliadora” Center of Guayaquil was integrated and began its apostolate. This data is a treasure and with the talent of the technical communication team, a video was created to recognize the Center for its 61 years of vocational fidelity, which are the 61 years of life of the Province of Ecuador.

Thank the Lord for a wonderful vocation full of signs of love and testimony!
