In a joyful Salesian Family celebration marking the birthday of Don Bosco, three young Salesian Cooperators made their promises in a historic moment for the Australia-Pacific Province. Sandra Saad, Bronwyn Dean and Carlos Escobar responded generously to their vocational call through their involvement in the oratory in Damascus, Syria, and in Salesian Camps and the Salesian Youth Movement in Melbourne, Australia. The solemn Eucharist was presided over by Fr Peter Hoang, SDB, Provincial, together with Fr Jim Acreman SDB, and Fr Peter Tran Ngoc Duc SDB, at the Mary Help of Christians Chapel of the FMA Provincial Centre in Scoresby, Victoria. The celebration was attended by family members, friends and many Salesian Sisters (FMA), some of whom have cared for the new Cooperators since they were small children. We warmly welcome Sandra, Bronwyn and Carlos to the mission among young people in the charisms of Don Bosco and St Mary Mazzarello.
