Manila, PHILIPPINES (September 2024). Salesian Cooperators in the Provinces of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Timor Leste were overwhelmed by presence of Pope Francis during the Papal visit to the East Asia Oceania region on September 2 to 13, 2024. Ernie Djohan, Local Council member of ASC Indonesia, shared “Faithfuls from the vast and widespread islands (even the most remote islands) of Indonesia gathered together in Jakarta, walking side by side into the stadium, in an orderly manner..”. In Papua New Guinea, Provincial Coordinator Rica Lavilla, led the youth in celebrating Pope visit with her choreography for the theme song entitled ‘Teach us How to Pray’. Equally rejoicing were Salesian Cooperators in East Timor during the leg of Papal visit in their country that concluded the Apostolic visit in the region. #
