More than 170 Salesian Cooperators from the Interamerica Region strengthen their mission at the 2nd Regional Formation Meeting 2026
On Saturday, July 25, the Salesian Cooperators of the Interamerica Region participated in the 2nd Regional Formation Meeting of 2026, held virtually under the theme: “Young People Who Evangelize Us: Salesian Youth Mission as a Shared Journey.”
The meeting was led by Fr. Rafael Bejarano, General Councillor for Salesian Youth Ministry, who offered a profound and inspiring reflection on the role of young people in the Salesian mission. During his presentation, he reminded participants: “Young people are not only the recipients of our mission. They are also a Word of God addressed to us. We are called to work with young people, not only for young people. Therefore, when we speak of youth mission from a Salesian perspective, the first question is not: What activities are we going to carry out? Rather: Whom is God entrusting to us today?”
At the conclusion of the meeting, Martín Calderón, Regional Councillor, addressed the participants and shared a synthesis of the youth-oriented lines of action presented at the World Congress held last May in Rome.
The meeting brought together more than 170 participants via Zoom, in addition to many others who followed the broadcast on Facebook Live, representing the 13 countries of the Interamerica Region. The gathering was also enriched by the fraternal participation of Salesian Cooperators from Argentina.
