PROJECT #OurHistoryMatters

Within the framework of this first year of the triennium of preparation for the 150th anniversary of the Association of Salesian Cooperators, dedicated to REMEMBER, in the province of Santiago el Mayor we have proposed just that, to remember where we come from.

Our SSCC Centers have a rich and significant history that deserves to be preserved and passed on to future generations. Our history is the foundation of who we are today. It is the legacy of those who preceded us, of those who with their vocation, effort and dedication started our Centers. Each one of us is part of this story, we are threads of a great network of efforts, achievements and shared dreams. If we do not worry about preserving that history, we lose the opportunity to strengthen our identity and our sense of belonging. By strengthening our identity we strengthen ourselves as individuals and as an Association.

We consider that this is a project in which most of the SSCCs could participate with enthusiasm, each one according to their possibilities. Compiling our history can become a project of strong personal and collective commitment. We can inspire others with our past, we can strengthen our identity and we can motivate other people to join our mission. This project is not only about looking back, but also about looking forward. By preserving our history we are building the future of our Association, #OurHistoryMatters.
