Fr. Joseph Manipadam SDB: Delegates are members of the Salesian Congregation / Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, who are part of the council in a responsible and collegial manner. Their specific task is to provide Salesian Apostolic Formation of the Salesian cooperators.  The delegates dedicate themselves willingly and promote the works of the laity according to their spirit and roles and motivate them for Apostolic leadership and governance. In addition, Delegates are the interface/bond of communion between the religious community and the Salesian Cooperators.

They are the custodians of Salesianity & Apostolic commitment of the individual cooperator and of the association. Fr Manipadam also expressed some urgent concerns: Salesians, especially the Delegates need more formation and their post should not be just ornamental.
