PILGRIMAGE OF THE PLACES OF DON BOSCO
The Virtual Pilgrimage Meeting of the places of Don Bosco, organized by the South Pacific Caribbean Region, took place on Saturday, February 22, bringing together approximately 147 Salesian Cooperators from the provinces of Bolivia, Bogotá, Medellín, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. This event was a unique opportunity to strengthen the Salesian spirit and delve deeper into the legacy of Saint John Bosco, uniting hearts through technology in a space for reflection and fraternal communion.
One of the most significant moments of the meeting was the presentation of a special video that allowed participants to virtually tour the most emblematic places of Don Bosco’s childhood, better understanding the environment in which his vocation and mission was born. Likewise, the figure of Mama Margarita was highlighted, an example of faith and dedication, whose role in the life of Don Bosco was fundamental to the formation of his spirit of service. The life of Domingo Savio was also remembered, a young saint who, inspired by Don Bosco, lived his faith with joy and total dedication.
The meeting also included a space for reflection, in which the brothers shared their impressions, experiences and feelings about the pilgrimage. It was a moment of great joy, where the commitment of the Salesian Cooperators to the mission of Don Bosco as lay people was evident, renewing their enthusiasm to continue sowing hope in each of their centers, apostolates and above all being a witness of life at every moment.
This virtual pilgrimage not only allowed us to learn more about the life and legacy of Don Bosco, but also strengthened the ties between the participants, reminding us that the Salesian mission transcends borders and remains alive in every action of service.
May Don Bosco and Mary Help of Christians continue to guide our path in this beautiful lay work in favor of young people! ✨🙏
