On 15 August 2026, at Hotel El Panamá, in an atmosphere of joy, gratitude, and fraternity, the Local Centre of Salesian Cooperators of the Don Bosco Basilica in Panama celebrated the 50th anniversary of its foundation, commemorating five decades of presence, service, and commitment to Don Bosco’s mission. The celebration brought together members of the Salesian Family, friends, and Salesian Cooperators.

The celebration was a beautiful gathering of different generations. Salesian Cooperators from different periods came together to remember, share stories, and thank God for the many people who, throughout these 50 years, have contributed to building the history of this Centre. There was also a special moment to remember with affection and gratitude those who have already gone to the Father’s House, but whose witness and legacy remain alive among us.

One of the most moving moments was the recognition of 11 Salesian Cooperators who have faithfully lived their vocation and sense of belonging to the Association, celebrating milestones of 48, 25, 15, and 10 years of commitment to the Salesian charism.

These 50 years remind us that Don Bosco’s dream is still alive. 50 years of history, 50 years of service, 50 years bringing Don Bosco’s dream to life.
