South Pacific Caribbean. Meeting of candidates and supporters

On September 7 and 8, the South Pacific Caribbean Regional Secretariat held a meeting of supporters and aspirants to Salesian Cooperators from the provinces belonging to our region.

Under the motto “Inspired by Don Bosco’s dream, let us live anchored in the hope of being for others, a testimony of the encounter with Christ.” Around 150 participants were in the virtual training.

The main theme of this meeting was based on the experience of the 2024 bonus and the presentation of the 2025 bonus, which is important for us as an association, since it underpins our spirituality and our charisma.

The main motivation of the first day was focused on the 9-year dream that helped us understand the reason for our mission as Salesian Cooperators from the testimony of Saint John Bosco and his encounter with Jesus and Mary.

The dream also helped us to understand how today we, in our daily realities, can be that Don Bosco who acts for the good of the most needy young people.

Among the activities of the second day, in which we emphasized “Being anchors of hope”, we made a virtual pilgrimage to the important places in the life of John Bosco. This activity helped us to get closer to the moments that helped John to live his vocation and his charism in a profound way with children and young people.

We were accompanied by a team of young Salesian Cooperators from our provinces, who animated, together with our World Councilor Deliana Almendras and the Regional Secretary, these two days of meeting.

We highlight the participation of the Aspirants and Sympathizers of our region, who assume the commitment to continue their initial formation and to deepen their associative life of the Salesian Cooperators.
