
1. Four New Salesian Cooperators Make Their Promise in Managua, Nicaragua – CAM South Province
On Sunday, November 30, the First Sunday of Advent, the Don Bosco Youth Center in Managua joyfully celebrated the Promise of four new Salesian Cooperators. The ceremony took place at St. John Bosco Parish and was presided over by Fr. Foster Cerda, national delegate of the Association. The promises were received by Magally Ramos, Provincial Councillor for Communications, representing the Provincial Coordinator. The local center coordinator, Javier Jaenz, officially presented the new members. As a sign of belonging to the Association, each received their pin, diploma, and the PVA (Project of Apostolic Life). Family members, friends, and Salesian Cooperators from Managua and Masaya joined this celebration of gratitude and commitment. The event concluded with a fraternal lunch that sealed this moment of hope for the Salesian mission in the CAM South Province.
2. New Provincial Council of Mexico North
On Sunday, December 7, during the Provincial Congress of Mexico North, the new Provincial Council for the 2025–2028 term was elected. We express our gratitude to Alfredo Algandar for his generous and dedicated service during the concluding triennium. Congratulations to Enrique De León Moreno, who assumes the role of Provincial Coordinator of the Association in Mexico North. Seven zone animators were also appointed to accompany the life and mission of the local centers. The Mexico North Province is made up of 49 local centers, all committed to joyfully living the Salesian charism.
3. Five New Salesian Cooperators in Canada
On Sunday, December 7, on the eve of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the Association of Salesian Cooperators in Canada celebrated with deep joy the Promise of five new members: three from the Mary Help of Christians Local Center in Etobicoke (Toronto) and two from the Maria Ausiliatrice Local Center in Montréal. In Toronto, the ceremony took place at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Parish, presided over by the Salesian director, Fr. John Puntino, SDB. The promises were received by Joe Conroy, Provincial Coordinator, accompanied by the delegate Sr. Alphonsine Roy, FMA, the local coordinator Verónica Ljubicic, and the formator Rosina Di Felice. In Montréal, the celebration was held at Our Lady of the Philippines Parish, presided over by the pastor, Fr. Rommel Cruz, and concelebrated by Salesians Fr. Richard Authier, SDB, delegate of the Mary Help of Christians Center, and Fr. Luc Lantagne, director of the local Salesian community. Fr. Richard received the promises in the presence of the local coordinator, Mrs. Rosa D’Addario. Both gatherings brought together Salesian Cooperators, families, friends, and parish community members. In Montréal, two Daughters of Mary Help of Christians also participated, adding their closeness on this meaningful day for the entire Salesian Family.
4. Six New Salesian Cooperators in the Dominican Republic – Antilles Province
The first days of December were marked by joy and gratitude within the Salesian Family, with the Promise of six new Salesian Cooperators who took a firm step in their Christian commitment and service in the style of Don Bosco. On Sunday, December 7, at St. Dominic Savio Parish, located in the Don Bosco Educational Plaza, the Eucharist was celebrated, presided over by Fr. José Pastor Ramírez, SDB, Provincial of the Antilles, and concelebrated by several Salesian priests. During this celebration, four new Salesian Cooperators made their Promise, which was received by Arismendy Espinal, Provincial Coordinator of the Salesian Cooperators in the Antilles. This significant event also marked the official birth of the Plaza Educativa Local Center, which becomes a new space for mission and service. With this addition, the Association in the Dominican Republic now has 14 local centers. Meanwhile, on Gaudete Sunday—a sign of joy and hope—Rosa Reyes and Virginia Leyba, members of the Mary Help of Christians OMA Center (Santo Domingo), made their Promise as Salesian Cooperators. The Eucharist was presided over by Fr. José Cuello, SDB, Provincial Delegate of the Association in the Antilles, and concelebrated by priests of the Salesian Family, in an atmosphere of deep faith and communion. We give thanks to God for the generous response of these new cooperators, who with enthusiasm and love have chosen to live their lay vocation at the service of young people and the Church.
5. Renewal of Promises of the Salesian Cooperators in El Salvador – CAM North Province
During the months of November and December, the Salesian Cooperators of El Salvador joyfully renewed their Apostolic Promise. The cooperators from the five local centers carried out this meaningful commitment, in fidelity to the Project of Apostolic Life. In total, 143 Salesian Cooperators renewed their Promise, reaffirming their vocation and their commitment to the Salesian mission in service of young people and communities. At the end of each renewal ceremony, the centers shared a fraternal gathering, strengthening the bonds of communion and family that characterize Don Bosco’s charism
