1. Promise of Three New Salesian Cooperators in Canada

On 11 January 2026, the Salesian community in Montreal joyfully celebrated the Promise of three new Salesian Cooperators from the Sainte Claire Centre. Around 80 people from various communities and cultural backgrounds took part, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. After the Eucharist, the PVA and pins were blessed and formally presented. The celebration ended with a festive gathering featuring songs in several languages, highlighting the community’s intercultural richness.

2. Interamerican Region Cooperators at the 2026 Salesian Family Spirituality Days

From 15 to 18 January 2026, representatives from the Interamerican Region participated in the Salesian Family Spirituality Days in Valdocco. Cooperators from the Eastern USA, Western USA, Canada and CAM North were present. A young aspirant from El Salvador took part in a youth round table alongside participants from Europe and the Middle East. The event included prayer, reflection and fraternity within the context of the Association’s 150th anniversary.

3. Fourth Module of the Interamerican Region Formators’ School

On 21 January, the fourth module of the Formators’ School took place, focusing on the Salesian identity of the formator. The session, led by Malú Zárate (El Salvador), explored the pedagogy of love, educational joy and the Preventive System. Sixty‑four formators from different countries participated. The School, structured in five modules, aims to strengthen the mission and identity of Salesian formators.

4. A New Salesian Cooperator in Guatemala

On 24 January, the feast of St Francis de Sales, Dora Alicia Eguizabal made her Promise as a new Salesian Cooperator in Guatemala. The celebration, held in the Good Shepherd Chapel, gathered cooperators, family members and friends. After the Eucharist, the community enjoyed a fraternal gathering prepared by the Local Council, reinforcing the bonds of communion and Salesian family spirit.
