Meeting of the Regional Formation Commission

Last Thursday, April 10, the first meeting of the Regional Formation Commission was held. This team was comprised of 33 participants from various countries in our region.

The main objective of this group is to develop clear guidelines for initial and ongoing formation. Each member chose a specific dimension in which they will contribute their valuable input, selecting from the Human, Christian, and Salesian dimensions.

During the meeting, everyone was invited to read and study the “Guidelines and Instructions for Formation” in depth, ensuring that everyone is aligned and prepared for the work ahead.

In the coming days, a schedule of activities will be presented to help achieve the proposed goals. In addition, participants were asked to review the content of the SWOT analyses conducted by the provinces, in order to gain a broader view of the formation realities in our region.

With great joy and willingness, the team has taken on the challenge of creating formation paths that will enrich our Association. We are excited for what is to come!

Family Gathering of the Salesian Cooperators of Costa Rica, CAM South Province

A day full of hope, family, and brotherhood!

On Sunday, April 6, the Salesian Cooperators of Costa Rica held their traditional annual family get-together at Rancho Camuri, located in the beautiful province of Cartago. This year, the event was inspired by the Salesian Strenna 2025, adopting the theme “Pilgrim Family Anchored in Hope.”

The day began with the arrival of families from different centers across the country, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy. The event opened with a snack, followed by activities that led to the first block of activities: a workshop on the concept of Hope in daily life, based on the message of the Strenna 2025.

After the workshop, participants were grouped by age to reflect on each person’s role in building hope within their families. It was an enriching space filled with dynamics, discussions, and the creation of a family crest, which concluded with a community prayer, strengthening family ties, and blessing the food before lunch.

In the afternoon, after lunch, families enjoyed free time to share and relax. There were walks through the ranch’s beautiful landscape, games, bingo, raffles, and, of course, a piñata for the little ones. This annual event not only strengthens the bond among Salesian Cooperators, but also provides an opportunity to get to know each other better and share moments of joy and fellowship with the Cooperators’ families.
