1. Savio Green Camp – Montreal, Canada
¡El pasado viernes 1 de agosto, el Campamento de verano Savio en Montreal concluded! There are five weeks of joy, learning and special moments for young people in the sector, all with sales support.
This year, the central theme of the family, and during the camp included moments of prayer, games, dances, creative activities, in addition to visits to the park and the municipal swimming pool. ¡A fun and valuable experience!
Participated 15 children from different parts of the world that reside in Montreal, coming from Mexico, Cameroon and Costa de Marfil, who enjoyed and learned in an environment of friendship and community.
The campsite is a very special thanks to the Salesian Cooperators of the Santa Clara Center, who offer a delicious almuerzo pizza for all participants. Estuvieron presents members of the local council, like Araceli Delgado Gámez, coordinator of the center; Gabriela Vilchis, administrator; Pierre Larocque and Roxana Pardave, who appeared with them in this moment of joy.
¡Thanks to all for having possible a little bit of sound, learning and value! We hope with enthusiasm for the next edition.
2. This year of upgrading and fundraising for the 38th birthday of Casa Hogar Mairo Don Bosco, Guadalajara, México Norte
Last night, 18 years ago, at the Colegio Anáhuac Chapalita, Guadalajara, Jalisco, we attended the ceremony with the motivation of the 38th birthday of Casa Hogar Mairo Don Bosco, attended by the Centro de Salesianos Cooperadores Mairo Don Bosco, Provincia México Norte.
The event began with the Eucharist presided over by P. Kennedy Delgado, sdb. The proposal of the cena will be agradecer and reconocer to the benefactors for its invaluable contribution; compare logs and impacts of your contributions; to strengthen the community in the wake of Hogar Mairo Don Bosco.
The event was conducted by Alejandra Salazar and Francisco Burciaga, Salesianos Cooperadores, who presented a performance of Casa Mairo Don Bosco. Claudio Castellanos, Salesian Cooperator and President of the Administrative Council, led a message; Alfredo Algandar Alvarado, provincial coordinator of the Salesianos Cooperadores México Norte, also sends a greeting to the attendees.
We made an audiovisual recording, showed photos of tall people, excursions and improved installations, thanks to donations. Guadalupe Sánchez Segura, Salesiana Cooperadora and director of the Casa Hogar, shared a message about the mission and logros obtained in their last years. A young man who was a child, a professional, like the house he lived in changed his life and what it means to feel valued and appreciated.
3. Celebration of the 210th anniversary of Don Bosco Salesianos Cooperadores, Miami, Florida
On Saturday 16 August, a group of Salesian Cooperators from different countries of Latin America met together with Sister Teresa Gutiérrez, FMA, native of Camagüey, Cuba, delegate of the Salesian Cooperators of the Eastern United States, to commemorate the 210th anniversary of Don’s birth Bosco.
The meeting took place in the Parroquia Inmaculada Concepción (Hialeah) and the charla, a cargo of Padre Julio Fernández Triana, raised by the title “Dame almas y llevate lo demás.”
4. Salesianos Cooperadores presentes en el Jubilee de los Jóvenes
Siguiendo las palabras del Papa Francisco en su Bula de Convocación para el Jubileo 2025, los Salesianos Cooperadores de la Región Interamericana estuvieron presentes en el Jubileo de los Jóvenes, acompañando y coordinando grupos, así como participando como peregrinos.
Participaron Salesianos Cooperadores de México, República Dominicana, Puerto Rico, Panama y Canadá led groups of our countries, also participated des aspirantes de Costa Rica y El Salvador as peregrinas. This universal experience strengthens your sales force and vocation. All of our groups also participated in the Salesian Fiesta alongside the Rector Mayor and Madre General. In addition, you can visit our local destinations with an experience that you already have in your surroundings.

5. Encuentro formativo Salesianos Cooperadores – Región Interamericana
On Saturday 23 August, the Salesian Cooperators of the Interamerican region carried out their annual virtual regional format, with the theme ¨Relanzando con esperanza¨.
Imparted by Antonio Boccia, Coordinator Mundial de la Asociación de Salesianos Cooperadores, quien dividió su ponencia en tres moments. Initiated the need to leer the signs of the times and, weighing its completeness, buscar paths inspired by the sabiduría of the Evangelio and the spirit of Don Bosco. We believe that Christian hope is not superficial optimism, but it is certain that Dios never abandoned human history.
