Family Gathering of the Salesian Cooperators of Panama, CAM South Province
Last Sunday, July 6, the Association of Salesian Cooperators of Panama organized a family gathering at the Metropolitan Summit Park, organized by the National Consultation.
In an atmosphere filled with fraternity, joy, warmth, and familiarity, members of the different local centers, aspirants, and their families shared special moments that helped strengthen the family life of the Association, helped them get to know each other better, grow together, exchange experiences, and develop apostolic projects. In addition, associative life was promoted and the charism was shared among families.
And there was no shortage of celebration! Happy birthday songs were sung to the brothers and sisters who celebrated their birthdays during the first half of 2025.
We celebrated the incorporation of two new Salesian Cooperators into the Mexico South Province!
On Saturday, July 12, Guadalupe Morales and Salud Lemus, members of the María Auxiliadora Local Center in Uruapan, made their promise as Salesian Cooperators.
The Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Filiberto Cruz Reyes and took place at the Church of Perpetual Help in Uruapan, Michoacán. The promises were received by the provincial coordinator, Omar Espinosa, along with María del Carmen Vázquez Téllez, secretary; Agustín Leopoldo Bautista, provincial administrator; and María Guadalupe López Colmenares, province formator.
Sister Soledad Mora Saucedo, local delegate of the Salesian Cooperators, Sister Adriana Dávila, along with other religious sisters and community members, accompanied this special moment.
Salesian Cooperators of the Dominican Republic held their annual Spiritual Exercises. Antillas Province.
From July 11 to 13, they held their annual Spiritual Exercises under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope: Called by God, Sent, and Committed to Don Bosco.”
The activity took place at the Casa San Gerardo in Cotuí, in an atmosphere of peace, silence, and reflection, ideal for connecting deeply with God through Salesian spirituality. This meeting was an opportunity for participants to rediscover their vocation, renew their missionary commitment, and relaunch the meaning of their Promise with hope.
During these days filled with God’s presence, the Salesian Cooperators were able to strengthen their vocational call and reaffirm their commitment to living the Salesian spirit. The participation was enriching, with representatives from the country’s 13 centers present, all united in this journey of spiritual growth.
Let us continue walking together in Don Bosco’s mission, with hope and commitment!
Second module of the School for Formators of the Interamerican Region!
On Tuesday, July 22, the second module of the School for Formators of the Association of Salesian Cooperators of our region was held. On this occasion, we addressed the human dimension with the theme: “Know Yourself and Transform: The Formator as a Whole Person.”
The main objective was to strengthen the human skills of the Salesian formator—such as empathy, discernment, listening, and affective communication—to accompany personal and community processes from an attitude of service, respect, and closeness.
We enjoyed the valuable participation of speakers Gisela Mejía Bautista (Dominican Republic) and Caridad Castellanos (Cuba), both Salesian Cooperators of the Antillas Province.
This Training School for Trainers is divided into five modules designed to enhance our capacities as educators and leaders. The initiative will last one year, with quarterly sessions.
Ninety-nine trainers from different countries in the region participated in this second module, as well as those from Argentina and Uruguay. A true example of our Association’s unity and commitment to its 150th anniversary!
