VOCATIONAL ANIMATION. Bogotá Province

Part of the commitment as Salesian Cooperators is to encourage others to follow this beautiful path, through testimony, word, apostolate and accompaniment.

Each provincial councillor, through his service, has fostered meetings that lead some people to decide to get to know and enter into the Salesian environment, particularly in the ASSCC.

During the Salesian celebrations, the opportunity is not lost to listen to and guide those who feel inclined towards our association.

Social networks with precise data have openly presented us with university students, Salesian Cooperators from other provinces who come to our country, Salesian Cooperators who have moved away and want to return to a centre.

Spaces are opened in the different houses, with the support of the delegates, to offer informative talks that give light to people who wish to have a group in which to grow.

Living our apostolates with all the strength of love for the needy “children, young people and their families” is a beautiful way of calling others to follow Jesus from the proposal of Don Bosco. Living “a practical exercise of charity” is a very powerful invitation, which draws and convinces those who observe us from outside.

Being a coherent center, that is, living what was promised and what some can say “look how they love each other” is another testimony that encourages friends and family to join our common causes.

Thus, a whole vocational environment has been created, sisters, priests, members of the Salesian Family Consultation present us with people who wish to live a strong spiritual life that leads them to be better Christians.

Activating vocational animation is working so that our vocation spreads and that we grow, as well as strengthening our mission.

To look, to scan the horizon is to discover that there are people who are waiting for a spiritual offer and that offer, “being a Salesian Cooperator” the most beautiful and valuable spiritual experience that those of us who have enjoyed it share with much love, the love that God has given to each one of us, having chosen us.

With great enthusiasm, the Salesian Family of Peru, under the leadership of its Delegate, Father Julio Acurio, lived a day of faith and fraternity during the presentation of the 2025 Strenna. The event took place last Saturday, February 1, in the Coliseum of the Salesian School San Francisco de Sales de Breña, bringing together numerous members of our family.

In his speech, Father Inspector Juan Pablo Alcas highlighted hope and closeness to young people as fundamental pillars of this year’s message. He underlined the call of the Salesians to live with hope and to sow it, especially in those young people who are in a vulnerable situation.

The day continued with the formation of teams, each identified with the name of a Salesian saint. Through creative presentations that included songs, slogans and allegories, the participants conveyed the message of the Strenna, showing that the power of love and hope is unstoppable. In a climate of joy and communion, the Salesian Family reaffirmed its commitment to walk alongside young people and renew its evangelizing mission.

It ended with a moment of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, fostering a spirit of devotion and fraternity.

The afternoon passed in a festive atmosphere, characteristic of Salesian spirituality, leaving in each heart the motivation to bring the Strenna 2025 to life.

May this message of hope inspire us to continue accompanying young people with renewed enthusiasm!
