
Mexico, from February 16 to 18, the Provincial Formative Congress of Salesian Cooperators of the Mexico South Province was held at the House of the New Man in Tlazala de Fabela, State of Mexico.
With this congress, the first objective of preparation of the 3 years towards the 150 years of founding of the Association, which was REMEMBER, is fulfilled for the Province.
Convened by the Provincial Council, on Friday the event was opened by coordinator Omar Espinoza Carrillo who shared the topic “The Power of One.” Saturday began in an atmosphere of prayer and the presentation of the theme “The origin of the Salesian Cooperators” shared by Father Hugo Herrera Rosales SDB. And in the afternoon the topic “The Salesian Cooperators in Mexico” shared by María Guadalupe López Colmenares and Agustín Leopoldo Bautista Cisneros, provincial councilors of Formation and Administration respectively.
Each center presented its history in the “Fair of Remembering”, then together with Mary Immaculate the Holy Rosary was prayed and meditated and later there was a pleasant coexistence with the theme of clothing from the time of Don Bosco.
Ending Sunday with the theme of “2024 Strenna of the Rector Major” shared by the Salesian Family Delegate Father Juan Aarón Cerezo Huerta SDB. The Eucharist with renewal of promise was presided over by Father Inspector of the México Sur Province Ignacio Ocampo Uribe SDB.
There was the participation of 42 promising Salesian cooperators and aspirants from the CRIMABO, Madre Antonieta Böhm, Juventus, Laura Vicuña, Juan Pablo II, Don Bosco centers of Ocozocuautla, Nazaret, Anáhuac.
