World Meeting of Administrators: Co-responsibility and Economic Solidarity

On 24 October 2026, the Association of Salesian Cooperators held a virtual meeting of regional administrators, with the participation of several World Councillors. The meeting was led by Raúl Fernández, World Administrator, who presented the main challenges and guidelines for strengthening the Association’s financial management.

During the meeting, it was emphasised that administration should not be limited to managing resources but should also contribute to formation in economic solidarity and co-responsibility, linking budgets to apostolic projects and the priorities of the mission. The financial report of the 6th World Congress, held in Rome in May 2026, was also presented, along with a proposal for voluntary solidarity contributions from the Provinces to help cover the resulting deficit.

Another central topic was the presentation of the 2027 world budget, together with the criteria for distributing financial contributions, taking into account the different circumstances of each country. New tools were also introduced to facilitate contributions through electronic payments, reducing the costs of international transfers. Guidelines and deadlines were established for preparing and submitting budgets and financial reports at the different levels of the Association.

Finally, it was agreed to organise regional meetings with provincial administrators during November, with the aim of exploring these guidelines in greater depth and strengthening a culture of transparency, austerity, solidarity and economic co-responsibility in service of the Salesian mission.
