The SSCC of Spain and Portugal celebrate the 150th anniversary in the Salesian places.

More than 50 people from the seven provinces of the Iberian Region of Salesian Cooperators lived, between 18 and 26 July, a time of retreat and pilgrimage through the “places of Don Bosco” in Italy. Most of the group were promised Salesian Cooperators, but two aspirants also took part, together with three Salesians and a diocesan priest who is a Cooperator.
From 18 to 22 July, a retreat took place in Valdocco, animated by Josean Hernández, Salesian Delegate for the Salesian Family of the Santiago el Mayor Province. From 22 to 26 July, the group made a pilgrimage through the places of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello in Piedmont.
The purpose of this initiative is to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Association by returning to our roots, where everything began, with the aim of rekindling our hearts and transmitting this renewed spirit both in our local centres and in daily life.
On Saturday 18, after the opening of the retreat and the presentation of each province, participants had the opportunity to listen to the “Good Night” given by the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard. Other Good Nights during the week were offered by Mother Chiara Cazzuola, Superior General of the FMA, and by Borja Pérez, World Coordinator of the Association.
