Salesian Cooperators of the Dominican Republic carry out Spiritual Exercises. Antilles Province

“The Lord’s Prayer: my prayer” was the motto that brought together 85 Cooperators and digitally connected about 150 more Salesian Cooperators. From July 12 to 14, the 2024 spiritual exercises were held at the Sagrada Familia retreat house, in Santo Domingo, with the presence of the 13 local centers of the Dominican Republic.

The topics were presented by Fathers Ronny Stephan and Father Edison Capellán, both SDB; Deacon Wilson Morales and Sister Basilia Ramírez, FMA. A celebration of the word was held by Deacon Reynaldo Inoa and, to close the activities, the Eucharist was celebrated by Father Jimmy González, SDB, who during the homily motivated those present to live aware of the commitment and responsibility of sending what Jesus does to us today.

During the meeting, spaces for personal reflection, testimonies and intimate and community encounters with God were experienced. These moments invited renewal and recharging of energy to continue pastoral work in their respective local centers, always in favor of the most vulnerable, just as Don Bosco wants today.
