Salesian Cooperators Celebrate Their Third Regional Formation Gathering of 2026

On Saturday, October 17, the Salesian Cooperators of the Interamerican Region held their third and final Regional Formation Gathering of 2026, conducted virtually under the theme: “Creative Fidelity: The Future of Charisms in New Forms.”

The gathering featured a reflection by Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, who encouraged participants to live the Salesian charism creatively, in communion with the Church and with an active commitment to transforming reality in the light of the Gospel.

Through dialogue and exchanges among countries, participants renewed their call to be leaven, salt, and light in the world, bringing hope to those most in need.

More than 250 participants from 13 countries of the Interamerican Region connected via Zoom to share this formation experience, together with Salesian Cooperators from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Spain.

At the close of the gathering, our Regional Councillor addressed a greeting to the Cardinal on behalf of the World Council and shared a message of encouragement with all participants, inviting them to foster charismatic creativity through concrete initiatives in each Province. It was a call to renew their commitment and continue bringing the Salesian charism to life with enthusiasm, creativity, and a spirit of communion, as part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary.

The day concluded with an invitation to promote concrete initiatives in each Province and to continue bringing the Salesian charism to life with enthusiasm, creativity, and a spirit of communion, within the framework of the 150th anniversary celebrations.
