Guatemala: Spiritual Exercises of the Salesian Cooperators

Under the theme “150 Years Walking with Don Bosco, Building Tomorrow,” from October 9 to 11, the Salesian Cooperators of Guatemala held their annual Spiritual Exercises at Colegio Don Bosco in Guatemala City, led by Renato Cabrera, Provincial Coordinator, and Nelson García, Provincial Administrator.

A total of 79 people participated—60 Salesian Cooperators and 19 aspirants—from the country’s eight Local Centres. They shared three days of profound spiritual experience, marked by silence, prayer, reflection, and discernment.

This opportunity for an encounter with God and Salesian fraternity allowed them to look towards the future and dream together about the Association they wish to build over the next 25 years.

The closing Eucharist was presided over by Fr Alejandro Hernández, SDB, Director of the Salesian work and Local Delegate of the Don Bosco Centre. During the celebration, the Salesian Cooperators renewed their Promise, reaffirming their commitment to continue building the Kingdom of God in the style of Don Bosco, at the service of young people and those most in need.

The activity was coordinated by the Don Bosco Centre, with the accompaniment and support of the National Consultation.
