Eriko Sato. Provincial Coordinator, Japan
On 30 June, Salesian Cooperators in Tokyo area (4 centers) gathered in Salesian Seminary. Spiritual workshop started with Mass celebrated by Provincial Delegate, Fr. Shoichiro Joseph Nakada.
After lunch, Fr. Nakada gave a lecture titled “Vocation and Spirituality”. First he featured the vocations of Isiah and Jeremiah. Everyone is given his/her vocation by God. Salesian Cooperators should help young people to identify their vocation.
Then Fr. Nakada cited several phrases from “Gaudate et Exsultate”, Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation. “Growth in holiness is a journey in community, side by side with others…….Living or working alongside others is surely a path of spiritual growth” (141). Participants were inspired and stimulated profoundly. Those who could not attend the spiritual workshop can follow the lecture on YouTube.
