On Sunday, 16 August, as part of the celebration of the feast of Don Bosco, the Association of Salesian Cooperators in El Salvador joyfully celebrated the Promise of Mónica Hernández, from the St Cecilia Local Centre in Santa Tecla.
The ceremony took place at the St Artemides Zatti Oratory during the Eucharistic celebration with the young people of the Oratory and was presided over by Fr Arnoldo Cubías, Director of St Cecilia School, where the Local Centre is based.
Mónica’s Promise was received by Carlos Rodríguez, Provincial Councillor for Initial Formation, who was delegated by the Provincial Council for this important occasion.
At the conclusion of the Eucharist, Mónica received the official pin and certificate and signed the local and national registration books. With this act, Mónica was officially incorporated into the Association of Salesian Cooperators, joyfully undertaking the commitment to live and share Don Bosco’s charism in the service of young people.
The day concluded in a fraternal atmosphere with the cutting of a cake and a breakfast shared with the members of the Oratory and all those who attended the celebration.
