“The Salesian Cooperators promote and defend the value of the family as the fundamental nucleus of society and the Church.” (E 8,3 of the PVA)
The Association of Salesian Cooperators has a lay diversity that is enriched in its families, with whom they live and share the Gospel and the mission of the Church, feeling God as a Father of love who saves. Families cooperate with the youth mission that moves the Salesian Cooperators
It is good to recognize the testimony of a family of Salesian Cooperators such as the Palacios Mariño Family: Verónica Mariño, sc is the Coordinator of the Province of Ecuador, Rubén Palacios, sc is an animator of initial formation in the Province of Ecuador and his daughter Margarita Palacios Mariño, is his unconditional companion to live the Salesian charism together with her parents, in the different environments and places where Verónica and Rubén are required; It could be said that Margarita knows most of the Salesian Cooperators and in each place she finds valuable friendships with the sons and daughters of the Families that welcome them. Together they have a dynamic and missionary force to reach the young people with whom they share in their different environments. Their home lives appreciation, values, mutual help in all aspects, strengthened in prayer and the Eucharist they have several stories of intensely shared mission.
Veronica and Ruben are a leaven of accompaniment and motivation in the Association so that Salesian Cooperators involve their husbands, wives, sons and daughters, friends and other relatives; their example allows us to extend the Kingdom of God, in the Salesian style, with the commitment to educate and evangelize, from home to the neighbor, with preference to youth ministry, to transmit authentic values of truth, freedom, justice, common sense and service.
Let us make our Families blessed niches of mission and vocation.
