Ecuador: “The laity, Don Bosco and the Second Vatican Council”

Our Apostolic Life Project mentions that the Salesian Cooperators are primarily responsible for their own human, Christian, Salesian and professional formation; This is how the Provincial Head of Training in Ecuador coordinated a virtual training space to reflect on the topic: ” 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐕𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐈𝐈”, which took place on Saturday, June 8; with the review of important guidelines from a current rereading of Chapter I of the Statute of the Project of Apostolic Life.

Alberto Flores, sc Provincial Head of Formation, contextualized the signs of the times for the beginning of the Second Vatican Council and how the Association is presented with challenges in the mission due to its membership in the Church.

Esteban Ortiz, SDB, guest speaker, presented the co-responsible attitude of the laity in the face of these challenges and realities for constant personal formation, highlighting that the Salesian Congregation values the contribution and presence of the laity as significant in the mission.

This provincial training space also attracted the interest and participation of Salesian Cooperator brothers who joined from the South Pacific Caribbean, Inter-America and Southern Cone regions.
