The “Rosario Maiorano Project” is an initiative launched in 2019 by the World Council of Salesian Cooperators to remember in the best possible way, that is, through solidarity, the figure of Mr. Rosario Maiorano (1956-2017), World Coordinator of the Association between 2001 and 2012.
It consists of financing from the World Council, thanks to the economic solidarity of the regions, a project each year, dedicated to interventions in favor of youth from the Salesian family, based on the criteria included in the bases, within the document « Encourage Economic Solidarity.
In the 2023 call, the Portoalgríoa project, “bearers of hope and joy”, presented by the Inter-American Region for Cuba, was approved. You can see it here:
