
From 26 to 28 June, the 2026 South Mexico Province Congress was held at the Monseñor Ibarra Retreat House in Puebla, providing a space for encounter, reflection, and discernment to strengthen the mission of the Salesian Cooperators.
The opening session began on Friday with words of welcome from the Provincial Coordinator, Omar Espinoza, and the Provincial Delegates, Sr Leticia Navarrete and Fr Hugo Herrera Rosales. Afterwards, Martín Calderón, Regional Councillor, delivered the conference entitled “150 Years Doing Whatever He Tells Us,” inviting the participants to renew their commitment to the Salesian charism.
Saturday began with the celebration of the Eucharist. During the day, the different Provincial Councillors presented reports on the work carried out during their term of office. Later, the Provincial Delegates led a time of personal reflection and reflection by Local Centres, aimed at discerning the direction and challenges of the Province for the coming years.
The Congress concluded on Sunday with the election of the new Provincial Council for the 2026–2029 term, a key moment for continuing to strengthen the mission and service of the Association in the South Mexico Province.
