Congress of the Province of San Antonio in Fatima

On Saturday, January 25, the Provincial Congress of the Province of San Antonio took place at the Paulo VI Center in Fatima. This congress was held in the context of the usual day of the presentation of the Strenna to the Salesian family of Portugal, with the presence of the Inspector of that country.

The Congress, convened by the World Council and attended by Antonio Boccia, World Coordinator, and Borja Pérez, Iberian World Councilor, has culminated a process of accompaniment and discernment started last summer and carried out in the province from the World Council itself in collaboration with Artur Pereira and Aldina Grazina, Provincial Delegate. In this process, several online work sessions were held with the local centers where reflection was made on the sense of belonging, the functions of the Provincial Council and the different areas of animation and government of our Association.

The Congress has culminated with the election of five new members of the Council from among 14 candidates who generously offered their availability to be part of it. Congratulations and many thanks to all of them, especially to the new councillors, Andreia, Rosa, Sergio, Anabela and Maria Irene.

We wish the new council and the entire province of San Antonio a good journey.
