This Project is part of the 2025-2028 Three-Year Plan “I Want You to Be Happy,” where we propose, in the context of our 150th anniversary, the witness of the joy of the Gospel in a Salesian style as our main argument for positioning ourselves in the world, in our work, in our families, and among young people, highlighting the permanent and lasting joy produced by a life lived in evangelical fullness as opposed to other more immediate and ephemeral proposals for happiness offered by today’s society.
To structure the three-year plan, we propose as an Association to accept as our own the mandate that the Virgin Mary gave to John Bosco in his dream at age 9, a projective dream, through which John gradually discovers what God wants for him, not without difficulties and doubts. In the dream, the Virgin asked the 9-year-old boy to become humble, strong, and robust so that he could carry out the plan God had for him. Therefore, our proposal is to work over these three years to become, within the Iberian Region, a humble, strong, and robust Association.
This first year of the triennium will culminate in May with the celebration of our 150th anniversary, a festive and joyful moment that we want to celebrate as it deserves. But we want to approach this celebration with humility, knowing that the journey we have taken has been a gift from the Lord, who has called us and offered us the precious gift of the Salesian charism, and the enormous challenge of making it available to the entire Church and the entire world.
Therefore, we propose to rediscover, with humility, all these gifts of the Lord, which have done so much good these past 150 years and which will allow us to face so many new challenges.
