On September 21, the group of 7 SSCC Aspirants at the Salesian Institute of João Paulo II received a visit from the SC Provincial Coordinator, Rita de Cássia Fernandes, and the person responsible for formation in the SC Province, Sandra dos Santos.
The group is receiving formation guided by Sister Ana Alzira (FMA), director of the Institute.
The group of Aspirants has a significant Salesian journey, working in the various Pastorals of the Community. “We are happy and hopeful for the enthusiasm and commitment of Sister Ana Alzira to continue the formation process,” emphasizes the SC. Rita de Cássia, who noted the need to deepen the stages foreseen in the BPA Provincial Formation Plan.
The formation process of this group in the city of Guarapuava (PR) by the Salesian Sisters went through some interruptions due to the transfers determined by the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. Now feeling more confident with the commitment made by Sister Ana Alzira, the new formative guidelines are being followed.
During this visit, the aspirants had the opportunity to review the formative process and its stages and the need to spend more time in-depth and reflecting. It is positive to note that, even following the previous Provincial Formation Plan, the Aspirants studied some of the main Church Documents cited by the group: Laudato Si’ and Synodality.
The Salesian Presence Association in the city of Guarapuava will soon be able to count on another Local Center, motivating even more lay men and women with a vocation, with a close eye on needy youth.
