SSCC Province of Bolivia — Celebration of the 150th Anniversary

The Salesian Cooperators were founded by St John Bosco on 9 May 1876 in Turin as the lay branch of the Salesian Family, collaborating in the education and formation of young people, especially the poorest.

In Bolivia, as throughout the world, the SSCC renewed their Promise in all cities where they are present.

In La Paz, the centres María Auxiliadora, María Mazzarello, Don Bosco and Domingo Savio celebrated the renewal of the Promise during the Salesian Family retreat.

In Santa Cruz, on 9 May 2026, during the Salesian Family retreat, a festive procession and the renewal of the Promise took place with the centres Don Bosco Central, Don Bosco Centenario and La Floresta of Muyurina Montero.

In Montero, the La Floresta Centre prayed the Dawn Rosary and then joined the Salesian Family retreat.

In Cochabamba, the centres Don Rua, St John Bosco and St Dominic Savio renewed their Promises.

In Sucre, the centres María Auxiliadora (Sucre) and Laura Vicuña (Potosí) celebrated the renewal of Promises in the Basilica of María Auxiliadora.

From 4 to 10 May, representatives attended the World Congress in Rome: Provincial Coordinator Marco Pérez Gutiérrez SSCC, Provincial Administrator Teresa Herminia Pantoja SSCC, Delegate Sr Rosario Gutiérrez FMA, and Deliana Almendras SSCC, World Councillor for the Pacific‑Caribbean Region, together with former World Coordinator Antonio Boccia.
