June 24: Salesian Feast of Gratitude
Today the Salesian Cooperators offer our congratulations to Fr. Fabio Attard, our Rector Major. Every June 24, the feast of St John the Baptist, the Salesian Family renews one of its most cherished traditions: the Feast of Gratitude.
It was born in Valdocco in 1870, when the first past pupils wished to thank Don Bosco for his dedication and fatherly care. Since then, this simple and profound gesture has been addressed to the Rector Major, successor of Don Bosco and centre of unity for the entire Salesian Family.
Today, the Salesian Cooperators joyfully join this celebration to express our gratitude to Fr. Fabio Attard,
✨ animator of the Salesian Family,
✨ servant of communion,
✨ and highest responsible authority of our Association in fidelity to Don Bosco’s spirit.
His closeness, his clear word and his broad vision help us walk as a family, dream together and keep alive the fire of the Salesian charism in the world.
On this meaningful day, we raise our prayer and affection: Thank you, Fr. Fabio, for guiding us with humility, hope and Salesian passion. May St John the Baptist and Don Bosco continue to accompany your mission.
