Anniversary of the first arrival of Salesian missionaries led by Venerable Vincenzo Cimatti.
During the Mass presided by Provincial, Fr Francis Hamasaki Atsushi, 9 new members made their first promise: 5 belong to Osaka Center, 1 Meguro Center, 1 Chofu Salesian Center, 1 Chofu Jindaiji Center, 1 Shizuoka Center. Delegate of the Province, Fr Joseph Shoichiro Nakada and former Delegates, Fr Achille Loro Piana and Fr Paul Nobuyuki Tamura were also on the altar to celebrate the Mass.
The day before the General Assembly, Japan Province elected new Provincial Coordinator, Thomas Yoshiki Uchiyama.
