IMMACULATE CONCEPTION of the BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, December 8 2020

We know well how important Mary was in Don Bosco’s life:

“All the greatest things had their beginning and their fulfilment on the day of the Immaculate Conception” (MB 17,510).

It is in that filial love that we as Salesians Cooperators together with the whole Salesian Family, have been originated.

She is the teacher that Jesus, in the nine years’ dream, placed next to little John who has learnt from her love and care for young people, especially the most “endangered” ones.

Our mission as Salesians is outlined in that care for the youth which today echoes in the invitation that Pope Francis addresses to us in the encyclical “Fratelli tutti, All brothers”.

Conjoin the four verbs: WELCOME everyone, PROTECT those in difficulties, PROMOTE “social friendship”, INTEGRATE all educational resources.

Have Happy and Blessed Feast of the Immaculate Conception!
